The Company’s main office is located at 303 Williams Avenue, Suite 129, Huntsville, Alabama. Other offices are in strategic locations to better service the clientele in other geographical areas. Some are adjacent to, or share space with physicians’ offices for which the Company performs billing and collection services. The Company and its’ principals perform (or have performed, by special engagement) services in the states of Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.
The Company was begun as a result of the recognition of the need of physicians to receive optimum reimbursement for medical services rendered. In many instances this need was determined during interviews of prospective clients, or during an in-depth review of policies, procedures and operations within physician offices. Over the course of several years, the Firm had developed and performed comprehensive “medical practice office reviews” within its’ Medical Practice Consulting Division. These reviews were designed specifically to identify strengths and weaknesses within a medical practice, make suggestions and recommendations concerning the operation of the practice and assist in implementation of such.
On January 1, 2000, when Ross B. Melvin, Jr. became president of the Company, the Medical Practice Consulting Division of the Firm was transferred to the Company.
At the present time, the Company performs billing and collections for approximately 20 medical providers (in 5 different specialties) practicing in three states.
